Someone said Cupid could be a programmer in disguise. Really? Well, for those who are too shy to explore the traditional method of asking someone out, and don’t want to appear as desperate for using the dating apps or services, we just might have found the right tech-based solution for you.
If you are not aware, the Social Development Network organised the first dating hackathon a while back, in Singapore. The winning solution was “TableAround”, an app that allows singles connect over meals based on their topics of interest. The mobile clustering formula uses an algorithm to groups individuals, based on their similar profiles.
Tunnel of Love, another app, was developed specially for the introverts to socialise easily.
Another solution combines the technologies of wearables and mobile applications. According to the official website, the technologies are paired with marketing tactics such as warehouse events, social media engagement, among others. This eliminates the barrier of being perceived as desperate.
